Ronda.
Our planned next stop had been Granada, but we would have spent the entire day on the train so we decided to break it up with a night in Ronda. We’re glad we did, because it’s a beautiful, charming town. It’s divided by a large gorge with a river at the bottom. There is a picturesque bridge that crosses the gorge and some beautiful views. There are also caves that Muslims used to store their weapons, which tunnel down through the gorge to the river below. In that picturesque setting, Warren proposed marriage. It was the most romantic spot we’d encountered on the entire trip. And we didn’t have a camera. So, we’ll have to remember it in our minds, and you can see pictures that other people have taken.
