Barcelona.
We spent three nights and four days in Barcelona, longer than we spent in any other city besides Madrid. It’s a beautiful city where you could spend an entire week and never run out of things to do. We enjoyed a lot of Gaudí architecture, the beach and the marina, the narrow, winding streets of the Barre Gotíc (Gothic Barrio), and the shameless touristy feel of La Rambla, the wide avenue that runs through the center of the city.
Large versions of the photos are available here.

A cute wooden submarine outside the Maritime Museum, and a galleon inside it.

Views of and from La Sagrada Familia, the church architected by Gaudí that is still under construction more than a century later.

Scenes from La Pedrera, an apartment building that Gaudí designed.

Tile work on the streets of Barcelona. Designed by – yep, you guessed it – Gaudí.

Views of the port. The sculpture is “Fish” by Frank Gehry.
